Users
Invite, create, and manage users in your Fleetbase organization — roles, statuses, permissions, and lifecycle actions.
Users
Every person with access to Fleetbase has a user account. Users belong to an organization, carry a role, and can have additional policies and permissions attached directly. Navigate to IAM → Users to manage them.

User Types
The Users section has three tabs, each scoped to a different account type:

| Users | Internal team members — operations staff, dispatchers, administrators |
| Customers | Customer accounts created via Storefront or the API |
| Drivers | Driver accounts linked to the Navigator mobile app |
User Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Invited but hasn't accepted yet. Appears in the list but cannot log in until the invite is accepted and a password is set. |
| Active | Full access. The user can log in and use the console. |
| Inactive | Deactivated. Cannot log in. Account and data are preserved and can be re-activated at any time. |
Inviting a User
Click Invite User to send an email invitation. The invite flow handles two cases transparently:
- New email — A Pending user record is created immediately and an invite email is sent. The user sets their password when they accept.
- Existing email (another organization) — A cross-organization invite is issued. The user keeps their existing password and joins your organization on acceptance.

Creating a User Directly
Click New to create a user account without sending an invite email — useful when you're setting up accounts in advance or distributing credentials through a separate channel.

| Attach Policies | Attach one or more policies directly to this user, supplementing the role |
| Select Permissions | Grant individual permissions beyond what the assigned role provides |
Per-User Actions
Click the ⋯ menu on any row to access lifecycle actions for that user:

| Edit | Open the user form to update any field |
| View Permissions | See the full resolved permission set for this user (role + direct policies + individual permissions) |
| Resend Invitation | Re-send the invite email — visible on Pending users only |
| Deactivate | Block login access without deleting the account |
| Activate | Restore access for a deactivated user |
| Verify | Manually mark a user's email address as verified |
| Change Password | Set a new password for the user directly from the admin panel |
| Delete | Remove the user from the organization |
Bulk Actions
Select multiple users with the row checkboxes, then use the Bulk Action dropdown to delete the selected users in a single operation.
Search and Filtering
Use the search bar to find users by name, email, or phone. The filter picker lets you narrow results by role or status.
